P: 23.2 Issue - Previously saved files with adjustment layers open with strange colors

After updating to Photoshop 23.2, if you have a file previously saved (example .psb) with adjustment layers like Curves or Channel Mixer, the image opens up with strange colors in the part of image where the adjustments impacts. To fix the issue, I need to go to adjustment layer, turn it off (via eye icon) and turn it back on.

Photoshop team, could you please fix this bug so I do not have to use above hack on my previously saved images with adjustmensts when I open them.

System

Windows 11

Trashing the setting fixed it, but now I have to restore those settings from the backup somehow, I guess one at a time?? I lost a lot by doing this.

I discovered that if I select each adjustment layer and turn it off and back on the display gets corrected. It has to be done to all layers one at a time with each layer selected

@jcazzie @chadm15595658 Multiple customers have said that MachinePrefs.psp was causing this issue.

1. Quit Photoshop

2. Navigate to Photoshop's Preferences folder.

macOS: Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings

Windows: Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop [version]/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings

3. Delete the file called MachinePrefs.psp from inside the settings folder

Has this been solved yet? I'm having the exact same issue with adjustment layers causing corrupted display on MacOS

Yesterday I reset preferences in Photoshop after being on the phone with Adobe. (Unfortunately my brushes, keyboard shortcuts and actions werent successfully saved during the process, so back up), reset preferences and restart PS. Should work then!

Hi Adobe,

Serious but issue with Adjustment Layers.

PS 23.2.0

MacOS Monterey 12.2

Please see attached.

(1) Image without adjustment layer applied

(2) Image with level adjustment layer clicked (all I did was click on it, no mods yet)

(3) Image with modifications (as soon as I move the handles around the adjustment layer, things look OK.

(4) Image saved, closed, then reopened

Thanks,

Erik

@ktbsaysrelax I could not repro. Seems to render here fine.

Let's make sure we're in a default state and there are no stale setting somewhere:
Restore your preferences using this manual method:
https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually
Does it work correctly?
If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.
If it does solve the problem, I would like to get the folder of settings to try and figure out what is bad with them.

Screenshots attached. This is happening with any/all files.

Also having issues with opening CC files, Photoshop crashes upon opening.

Link to a PSD here.
