Photoshop does not provide a method to disable neural filters.

I have some problem of stability I isolated everything but network.

I observed photoshop constantly communicating with amazonaws, I am pretty sure that it got stuck because some firewall setup on the main server that prevent an anwser from the outside that should trigger some whateve event.

I don't use neurfal filters and therfore I do not need them, I do not want constantly photoshop sending telemetry to whateve who knows, without my consent.

Please provide a method to disable neural filters and-opt out telemetry.

I do not understand why all my post converged in the same place...

Anyway, the only hints I have is that if I open a PSD file directly it is more likely to get PS frozen during the startup while if I open before PS and then the file it lasts, most of the time, at least a couple of minutes before to become unresponsive.

I have been testing with and without GPU, it happens the same, no matter what the GPU (Intel or Nvdia):

It is not hardware related since we have three identical PC, the difference between mine and the other two is that I keep up with the Windows Updates, therefore is an interaction between the Windows and Photoshop the cause of the issue. Also the hardware is pretty standard: Dell-Precision-Tower-3000-Series-3420-Spec-Sheet.pdf I exclude any specific hardware related issue.

I am also working with fairly light files, that are mostly pictures, since I stressed out Photoshop by any means and the issue still continues, the only aspect where I do not have control is the network; if Photoshop needs constantly to communicate to any Amazon AWS server waiting for whatever answer in order to work and if the office firewall is blocking it then I might have found why suddenly Photoshop got frozen.

Unfortunately, this issue appears to be system/hardware specific.

Let's eliminate the GPU entirely:

First quit Photoshop. Then install the attached file (PSUserConfig.txt) in your Photoshop Settings folder:

Windows:
[Installation Drive]:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\[Photoshop_version]\[Photoshop_version]Settings\

Run just Photoshop by itself, without InDesign or Illustrator. Does the problem still occur.

The other thing to try is booting into safemode to disable system utilities: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/basic-troubleshooting.html#safemode

I switched the graphic adapter to a newer one (Nvidia T1000 4G); uninstall completely each adobe bits and cleaned up all the settings across users and shared folders; I updted the Nvidia Drivers to the lastest one: 512.59; and still continue to have the (mainly) Photoshop, Illustrator and even InDesign with constant and unexplicable frozen screen completely unresponsive.

I tried to offer all the information I could but no one in this forum is attending nobody, the worst customer support I have ever seen so far.

I hope for someone that for pity will be helping me:

Dear Customer Support a fix is urged.

Since the latest Windows updates:

Edition	Windows 10 Pro
Version	21H2
Installed on	‎4/‎15/‎2021
OS build	19044.1586
Experience	Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4170.0

Any vesion of PS from 23 down to 20 is affected and get frozen (also while simply idle) within a range that starts from 5" to 60" rounded, totally unpredictable.

Unfortunately the OS was unable to revert the updates and therefore I don't have any mean to solve this issue.

Newer GPU drivers installed and all suggestested hints applied but didn't changed or fixed the issue; so far the only feasable workaround available is:

saving after each click;
and kill the task when get stuck;
reoping the file and go to point 1.

which makes working quite frustrating and extremely long.

I can share a dump file in private with a dev!
