P: "Adobe Community Help" keeps popping open (Windows)

Adobe Community Help keeps popping open when working within Adobe Photoshop CS5. I'm not sure if I'm doing some sort of shortcut that causes it to open, but sometimes (maybe once instance, during a 40hr week) Adobe Community Help will open in a Window while I am doing stuff in Adobe Photoshop CS5.

I'm not sure what causes it, but I'll close the Community Help window, and then continue working in Photoshop, and it will open again. Only way to keep it from opening back up again is to close and restart Photoshop. This has happened to me on my home PC as well, and in previous versions of Photoshop, if I remember correctly. I am using Windows 7 now, but I think I've had this happen on XP too.

Is it because there are updates available? Is it because I'm doing some sort of weird shortcut that I don't know about?

An example: I was transforming an object (using the mouse, clicking, using shift button while moving the cursor, using the space bar while panning, etc.) It just opened again. Guess it's time to restart Photoshop...

We contacted several users who have seen the problem, did remote connections to their machines, and they were unable to reproduce the problem.

So far we have no idea what external factor is triggering this issue -- we just know from statistics that it is unlikely to be solely a bug in the core application.

I have not said anything about you not being important.
But this appears to be caused by something outside of Photoshop, and the people affected have not been able to identify what about their systems causes this. Without the external cause/trigger - we can't experience the problem, and thus we cannot debug the problem much less solve the problem.
We'd love to solve this issue - but we cannot solve it without more information from the people who have seen the problem.

This is the same response you've had from the beginning after lots of different people have posted their specs, from a large variety of different systems. Lots of people also posted they would be willing to be your test dummies as well, since it does happen on a regular basis. Where are we at with those tests from those willing subjects?

Yes we are a 'small number of people' and realize we're not a priority but we still paid a lot for a program that is not working correctly and is why we're frustrated. This is not the product we thought we were getting and is why we're frustrated.

PS- telling us we're not important isn't helping the situation in case you didn't know.

As already noted: this only happens for a small number of people.
We cannot reproduce the problem, and our best guess is that some other application or utility is triggering it.
Until someone who experiences the problem can help us figure out what it is about their system that triggers the problem, we won't be able to do much about it.

Come on Adobe! It's happens since cs2 ... as far as I know. Stop adding stupid functions, just fix bugs.. yes.. it is harder but CS is not cheep crap so I think you can do it. ... But you prefer adding new bugs, like that with layers thumbnails ... I think users should request money back, maybe this will wake you up

Still happening. Photoshop hadn't been open very long at all. I've been using it throughout the day, but had it closed for a while, then after re-opening it to work on a file...about 5 minutes later it caused Photoshop to quit.

I just had this happen to me...again...and followed by a lovely crash. The best part, all i did was use the color picker a few times, turn some display layers on/off...and yea...nice adobe. This has been around for years now and you still can't fix it.

You've gotta be kidding me. Today I went to add a layer style. As soon as the dialog options box opened, Photoshop through errors and popped open some Help tabs in the browser.

Oddly, this time, I wasn't forced to quit Photoshop. Instead, all of the menus were grayed out in File, except for Place, Export, and Exit. So I tried closing Photoshop and luckily it prompted me to Save. I tried saving (overwriting my previous file, as there was no option for Save As...). Now its hanging at "Saving 73%". So I had to force quit. Luckily Photoshop saved a Recovery file.
