P: Automated Actions Processing Files in Random Order after High Sierra Upgrade
I'm running the latest version of Photoshop CC on a 2015 iMac 5k, recently updated to OS X 10.13, High Sierra, with drives formatted as APFS volumes.
Running a large batch of images (1500+) through File –> Scripts –> Image Processor (with the option to run an action turned on) has the images being processed in random order, rather then sequentially by name. If I kill the action and start over, it seems to repeat the action in the same "random" order the next time, so I'm guessing it isn't truly random. I checked to see if it's running in size or date order, and it isn't.
This wouldn't be an issue if the script didn't occasionally crash, leaving me with random images completed, rather than sequential. I won't be able to just run the batch with only the images that were next in line. I'll have to start from scratch, and hope it won't chunk out again.
