P: Cancelling rename layer groups resets layer colors

This bug seems to be happening consistently -- when I rename a layer group, Photoshop CS6 resets the color of all the layers inside the group to "no color" (including in nested groups).

Glad I'm not the only person that noticed this. I thought I was going crazy.

It's especially troublesome when copying a group name to paste to another group, since you have to double-click, copy, then click to cancel the renaming of that group.

This exact thing has happened to me more than once.

Fantastic! And if you notice it 50 steps later?

Sorry, can't provide an ETA. The workaround, however, is simple. Cmd + Z will restore your labels.

Hello, Jefferey!
How close are we to fixing this bug?

Again, it's 100% reproducible – double-click the layer to rename it, then click somewhere else to cancel the action --> the whole layer structure gets it's color-coding reset.

My workflow gets severely impaired by that, I would really like you to fix it.

This is still live in CC 2017... Maybe this will help... I can reproduce this bug 100% by double-clicking the layer name, then (whether or not I type anything) clicking out of the layer name to deselect/lose focus. It DESTROYS all the label colors in the layer and any sublayers all the way down the tree if it's layer group.

If I rename a layer and use the "Enter" key to deselect the layer name text box, it does not change the label colors.

I hope that helps narrow down the issue so it can be resolved.
