P: Colour picker does not pick 0,0,0 black

The dockable colour picker in its standard mode (HUE Cube) does not pick "0,0,0 black" when the colour is picked at its bottom end. It picks 2,2,2 instead which is super annoying as it leaves a thin transparent layer when black is used for masking for example. It really has to be 0,0,0!
Thank you,
Joachim

Also, I've noticed that when recording an Action and I choose 51, 51, 51, the Action has the color recorded as something like 51.003, 51.003, 51.003, - or - 50.998, 50.998, 50.998, etc.

Any clue why this is happening?

P.S. Just made a quick Action and it did it again so I'll post a screen shot.

Document color profile is sRGB.

Hey Cristen, I believe you were trying the standard colour picker, not the dockable one. (The  one you get by pressing F6). Best, J.

I'm able to reproduce this with 2015.1.2. I'll investigate internally. I believe this will be fixed in our next update.

I just picked 0,0,0? Do it all the time using the Hue cube. It was on a magenta. I slid the circle down to the corner as far as it would go. 0, 0, 0 in both LAB and RGB. Now in CMYK, it protects me from a toxic black. So it isn't 100,100,100,100. But that's a blessing, not a curse. Maybe you need to try again and make sure you drag off the lower left corner so the whole circle isn't visible in the cube???

I know about 20 different ways to get my colour to be 000... but I'm using the colour picker for everything. Entering a Hex-code or using a custom swatch just for black is a bit awkward.
It's a bug and I think it just needs to be fixed.

So stop doing it that way. When you want to mask hit the X key to turn the colors the solid black and white. Then mask away.
