P: Content Aware fill Program Error

I updated Ps this morning and since then I've been unable to use the Content Aware Fill. everytime I do I get a pop-up saying "Could not complete your request due to a program error" - I've clicked on the "Learn How To Fix" button and cgone throught he various steps there, but noting changes. I've updated the graphics drivers, restarted the computer, no change. I need to use the Content Aware Fill.

 

Windows 10

64Gb RAM

6Gb Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060

Hi @desbrambley,

 

Sorry for the program error, curious if you're working with 16-bit images?

If so, this is an issue we're aware of and the team is working on a fix for.

Workarounds include:

  • Converting the image to 8-bit
  • Flattening the image
  • Make selection then use Edit > Fill > Content Aware Fill
