P: Crashes every time I run the spell check (w/characters in Private Use Unicode range (UniE----)

I'm running Photoshop CC 2015 on Mac OS X 10.9.5 and every time I run the spell check, Photoshop QUITS!!! Please fix.

yeah, character / icon fonts are a necessity in a design comp.. Do not recall this being an issue before the CC 2015 update.

Thanushka, I can't find a simple fix as of right now. I had to remove the icons (there were only a few of them in my comp) and run the spell check and then put them back in. A REAL hastle. Adobe needs to fix this.

Seeing as this wasn't an issue previously, I would still classify this as a bug in PS that should be rectified. PS seems to get confused when its Spell Check comes across characters in the Private Use Unicode range (UniE----)

How did you get by it? removed font awesome? I'm using font awesome character font too and it's a necessity.

This fixed it for me as well. I was using Font Awesome special character font

Hmmm. I narrowed down the issue I was having to a custom font I made using Glyphs Mini for my icons. When I removed that custom characters, Spell Check worked fine. Interestingly, I've been using this custom font for over a year now without any issues in PS. This started happening after the most recent PS update.
