P: Curves modification show in history but will not redo

PS 23.0.1

When editing an existing curves layer...  Make any change to the curve and then Command Z to undo.  The undo works and the history panel shows a step back.  All good.  Now Shift Command Z to redo.  The history panel shows the step forward but the curve remains in its current state.  The undo state.  There is now no way to redo the change.  If the first undo is done using the history panel, not Command Z, everything works as expected.  It's only the key command that breaks it.

@J453 @Hannah Nicollet

We've seen a couple of releases since first reporting this issue and it still persists (23.1.1).  Just keeping you updated.  Thanks for any help.

Hi @Hannah Nicollet

Unfortunatly that workaround doesn't work.

Steps to reproduce:

1. With any open doc create a curves layer.  Do not add points to the curve.

2. Create a solid color layer.

3.  Select the curves layer.

4. Adjust the curve.

5. Undo using the keyboard.

6. Redo using the keybaord or history panel.

Result: Curve adjustment remains undone.

The @photocope workaround does work.  It's the second click on the curve point (before undoing) that seems to register the change in the history.

BTW this is a priority item for pro use.  At the moment I need to run PS 22 for work.

Thank. I think this workaround is little bit more convinient.

"i found a kind of solution. with more than 1 point its still working like before. if you only have one dragging point click again inside the point after you adjust the curve first time, then you can go back and forward like before without resetting the curve. "

Thanks for bringing this to our attention we're looking into it. In the meanwhile, a workaround is if you make a curves adjustment layer, switch layers before adding anchor points to the curve. This will create a new history event in the history panel when you return to the curves adjustment layer and you'll be able to undo/redo all the edits.
