P: Document Dimensions Display do not update after cropping

I have Document Dimensions displayed on the very bottom left footer of Photoshop.  I just noticed after cropping a photo it still shows the original dimensions.  I would swear (been doing this for years) that before after I cropped an image it would show the cropped dimensions.  The only way it shows the crop dimensions now is when I save the photo.  Is this a bug?  I just updated to 23.5 on Windows 10 64 bit.

@Pete.Green I wonder why myself and Dave can't reproduce the issue, what PC configuration do you guys use?

Thanks for the report @Richard Day-Daybreak and others for reproducing.

I'm able to reproduce this on my Mac and Win systems as well.

Will log a bug for the team to investigate.

Workaround: Either:

  • Save the open document, or
  • Switch to a tab for another open document and back to your working document

Regards,

Pete

Same here. (reset preferences as well)

The dimensions are not updating after confirming a crop using the Crop Tool. (macOS Monterey 12.5; Photoshop 23.5 release)

I still can't replicate here

Photoshop v23.5

Windows 10 v21H2.

GPU NVidia RTX3090 Studio driver 516.93

Use Graphics Processor checked, Multithreaded compositing checked, Native Canvas Rulers enabled

Tried with crop in new and in classic mode. Also with 'delete cropped pixels' checked and unchecked. Also with rulers on screen and hidden.

I can duplicate this. The dimensions don't update after clicking confirm to new crop. (Windows 10 Pro v21H2; Photoshop 23.5 release)

I just tested this on my computer (Photoshop 23.4.2) and it showed the correct (and new) size.

After commiting the crop the info on dimensions should change (but not until you have committed it by clicking on the tick or pressing enter).

I've just tried it in 23.5 and it works correctly here

It doesn't work for me.  I press enter and it still shows original but if I click the dimensions showing there on the expert bar it will display a small pop up with the cropped dimensions.

It's working as it should for me also with version 23.5, have you tried resetting your Photoshop preferences
