P: Edit Live shapes problems

If I have a rectangle Live Shape with round corners and use the direct selection tool to select the anchors point to one size only, when I move them using the shift key, the entire rectangle is moved, instead of only the side I had selected. Same issue, if I use the arrows keys on computer to fine-tune the positions of it. Tell me it’s a know issue and not as designed.

That’s why I asked if there is a way to turn off Live Shape.

    Photoshop asks me if I want to turn the live shape into a regular path if I use the direct selection tool to select the anchors point to one size only, when I move them using the shift key. Then the side moves independently. Might need a screen recording of what you're seeing.
