What do I do with the computer? Break it?¿ Am I paying for the service on a monthly basis and I cannot enjoy the program?

Are you on a Mac or a hackintosh?

I just installed the update on my Early 2013 MacBook Pro Retina and it's running as expected:  macOS  Catalina 10.15.7, Photoshop v22.0, 2.8GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, 16GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Memory.

Maybe try a complete uninstall and then reinstall it?

It's probably worth contacting Adobe Customer Care for Download & Install assistance.  (https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/help.html)

I got this 'solution' from Adobe technical support.  Truly not acceptable.  A SW update now requires I buy a new computer when the old one works just fine, including with every other app except Adobe Photoshop?   Bogus.  (Win 10 Pro, but seems it could be a problem for Macs as well, as you can see in the sample system info they use as an example)

Issue
Workaround
When you launch Photoshop 2021 (v22.x) you get the following error: "Error at loading of ippCV library."

Photoshop 2021 (v22.x) requires a CPU that supports SSE 4.2 or later.

To determine if your CPU meets this SSE version support requirement, see Photoshop's Help > System Info dialog and look in or near the 4th line.

e.g. Adobe Photoshop Version: 22.0.0 20200921.m.1053 2020/09/21: 0fb66349f4  x64
Number of Launches: 6
Operating System: Mac OS 10.15.5
System architecture: Intel CPU Family:6, Model:14, Stepping:3 with MMX, SSE Integer, SSE FP, SSE2, SSE3, SSE4.1, SSE4.2, AVX, AVX2, HyperThreading

If my 6 core 3GHz 16GB CPU really no longer works with PS that is about the most bogus thing I ever heard.

Yes, this is no problem! In Adobe Creative Cloud is also the previous version available. And this works fine!

If our system is not compatible, can we still download an older version? I can’t afford a new computer, what do we do???

If it's a new subscriber and they don't have a previous version of photoshop

and photoshop won't open then they can't use Help>System Info.

Can't adobe make the installer check for this?
