P: Export to SVG file - endless processing loop

I have a Photoshop file that I'm trying to Export As to an SVG file. I get all the way to the save option, but then it just sits in an endless processing loop. I can't figure out how to get this file to finally export as an SVG file.

I've reduced the image size in Photoshop, then also reduced the image size in the Export As setting. This file just won't finish exporting.

What can I do to get this to finally work?

 Mac > Export As.. > true SVG > just as fast as PNG = have a fix, why?

Mac OS El Capitan 10.11.6. Photoshop CC 2018 19.1.6 still can't export .svg. spinning wheel

Public Service Acknowledgement: Export As outputting to SVG will fail with the above described endless loop for for documents not in color mode RGB. The issue is logged in our system. Please continue to share any problem files with us.

I'm running Photoshop 2018 CC on High Sierra and having the issue with SVGs not exporting. I get the endless spinning wheel and it never completes export. Sam, can you contact me directly?

To all that continue to have trouble exporting as SVG, we have identified some of the issues with SVG.

The original post here concerned a file with more than 250 layers. The conversion engine could not handle that many layers. I just took another look at the file. I merged all of the raster layers bringing the count down to 50. I was then able successfully export.

I haven't done any laser engraving, but I would recommend Illustrator for that type of vector work.
You certainly can use PS for vectors. If you'd like to find out what was preventing your file from exporting, I'd be glad to help. I'd like to know, too. I'll need to look at your file, but I'll contact you directly for that.

I'm having the same trouble too. Now downloading a trial of Illustrator in the hope it works. My files are for laser engraving and they need them in .svg format.

Is anyone else here running Avast Anti-Virus? That turned out to be the problem on one system that I looked at yesterday. Avast was preventing video from rendering on Photoshop.
