P: Flickering problem in photoshop workspace

Hello, first of all sorry for my bad english.

I have a problem with flickering while using PS - i've searched all topics, and i saw that this problem exist from year 2019, and still no clue whats going on...

I have a new laptop - Acer Nitro 5 laptop with dual cards Intel UHD and Nvidia RTX 3050. All drivers are updated, and on RTX I have STUDIO Drivers, not Game Ready.

- I don't want to disable GPU on PS, because I'm using a lot of options for it.

- I can't disable g-sync (i saw this tip in other topics) because i don't have this option

- I have Nvidia Studio Drivers (on Game-Ready the problem is the same)

- I have this problem ONLY on Adobe app

Not my video, but it looks like this VID 20190809 233324 - YouTube - when you use mouse, tablet for drawing with brush, when you do anything on workspace all image changing brightness/contrast when you click/use brush. This is really really REALLY annoying.

I saw posts with telling others that dual-card laptops may have problems. But it is not a solution - the market with these laptops is huge, so ther must be a solution...

Is there really nothing you can do about it?!

PLEASE... help. I do not want this topic to be like the others - years later - without solving the problem. For me for OTHER people who struggle with it.

Best regards S.

@Bart0101 @magpie5, does it help for either of you if you go to Preferences > Technology Previews and enable "Deactivate Native Canvas"?

i asked a question yesterday, upload the info and crickets!

i have installed, uninstalled, restarted my whole pc so many times, i tried rolling back but the issue is there too now. so i went back to the latest update. before i did i updated my driver for the GPU, even though i didnt need to. the tool bars are still flickering, the whole thing is extremely slow, it used to be perfect and lightning fast just 48 hours ago! the update killed it! i tried to turn off the GPU but photoshop freezes and i have to CTL ALT Delete. can some one please help me fix this? i have sessions to edit!

First, we are sorry no one addressed your issue yesterday. We all volunteer here and check in at different times, so we do apologize for this.

What info did you upload yesterday? Can you re-upload it here so we can see it?

Did you check to see if your GPU card is compatible with the latest version of Photoshop?

Check here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-gpu-graphics-card.html

Are you experiencing the flickering in other programs? How much RAM do you have allocated to Photoshop?

Are your scratch disks empty, full? Have you checked to make sure that your computer can handle this newest version of PS?

Please send us the info so we can help you!

Michelle

Hi @Bart0101, sorry you are having this issue.

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Thank you,

Same problem for me! constant flickering of the menus and lagging when opening files or anything in the menus I am sure someone there knows what the problem is but since this started happening you have had more updates that didn't sovle nothing. Photoshop 2022 v23.4.1 is useless the way it is. Does Adobe even check before putting out updates? I can't do my work the way the program is right now. Is Adobe going to reimburse me for lost income? I faithfully pay for your software each month and you expect that payment! Well I expect your software to work! but when it comes to Adobe software as of late! it is becomeing more and more unreliable.

In this way the system could see only one graphic card and maybe it could be solve the issue...
