P: Floating windows are sluggish compared to docked tabs on MacOS 10.10 Yosemite

On my brand new Macbook Pro, in Photoshop CC (latest version), In Docked/Tabbed windows dragging objects around (like dragging a small red circle around a new document) is fast and smooth like liquid. Problem: On Floating windows however, it is very sluggish with rough movements (in comparison to tabs). And I always use floating windows. Can someone please help me resolve this so I can use my new Mac with Photoshop?

And I fully appreciate any help you can offer me on this. You guys helped me through a similar issue years ago on my PC when GPU support came out.

This is a fresh new install on my new MacBook Pro 2.5ghz 16gb ram that I got for Photoshop use and would return the mac if this can't be fixed so I need to know what you guys think either way. I do not have any extensions or plugins just a raw install. I did try resetting the prefs file before posting as well. Please let me know how we can resolve this. A phone call maybe or whatever you think.. Thanks in advance! - Uri

Do you have an 3rd party Extension panels installed?

Try restoring your preferences: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/201...

If you do restore your prefs, please save a copy of your existing prefs in case they turn out to be the culprit. Having the bad prefs can sometimes help us track down the issue.

I also tried changing all the Use Graphics Processor advanced settings in performance (testing on new windows each time) and it didn't help this.
