P: Freeze using mask tools in Liquify

I used the work around for the transparent box left in liquify and that works, but if you try to use the freeze mask photoshop freezes up. I am trying to be patient here but this is a royal pain. You pay for software that you can't use. I use the liquify a lot as I previously stated for senior sessions.
