This is still an issue.  I concur that this had not been an issue in the past, and only stopped working within the last year.  I spent over 2-hours with Adobe Support today and was told by a supervisor this is a known issue in 21.2.4 (and perhaps below as mentioned).  Adobe said they are not aware of this being an issue in 22.0.1, but I was able to demonstrate that the problem still exists.  I am using an RTX 2080ti and every conceivable troubleshooting step has been followed by support and myself.

Sliders won't update the preview, and I cannot rotate the 3D view properly (it is unuseably choppy).

Unfortunately, at this time, anything below 21.0.1 is no longer available under "Older Versions" for download on Creative Cloud.  I tried to find out where to get a 21.0.1 version from Adobe, but was disconnected after 45-minutes on hold for a technical support rep.

Does anyone know where to download previous Photoshop versions not listed in CC?  Does anyone know where Adobe lists all officially supported and unsupported software versions?  I have spent hours troubleshooting this for months and have had no progress.

This really needs to be fixed - it is production-stopping for 3D artists.

reverting back to version 21.0 fixed the issue. there is a bug in the newest update. (21.1.2)

PS 21.1

when generating a height map or a normal map with the filer/3D/generate... the 3d view doesn't rotator and the lights also don't rotate. also the panning doesn't work. none of it works. This used to work on previous versions.
