P: Generator: export only visible layers (as in past)

It's an old bug ... but still annoying:
Before Photoshop 2015.5 Generator exported only visible layers. Since 2015.5 all layers are exported, that leads to complexity, unwanted files and unnecessary work.
Adobe planned to fix this bug (internal bug number is PS-3724) in spring 2017, but it seems their mind has changed ...
So, please Adobe, fix it in spring 2019.
Dear readers, please like this post, maybe it helps.

If Max insists to work in his way 😉 - it would also be an option to modify the behaviour of Generator by the default layer that specifies default settings e.g. [all_layers]
Hope to hear from Adobe/Jeffrey soon ....

It's the same problem as JSHO described it!

Are you referring to the issue JSHO is reporting above or a different issue? If different, please create a separate topic with steps to reproduce, a screen recording and or sample PSD to illustrate the problem.

Even in the new version of Photoshop, Adobe has not managed to "fix" the problem with the export of images (generieren). This is a big problem for me and my team (18-20) employees. Please fix this problem as soon as possible.

I'm not sure I see how the current setup makes for more complexity or unwanted files. Enabling or disabling visibility on layers to export, but still having them using the "xxx.jpg" syntax would lead to confusion on what is supposed to be exported or not... I use the generator specifically because it is a reliable way to track what *should* be exported from a given file if a different artist needs to pick it up later.

Sorry. There's still an open report but hasn't bubbled up over other higher priority issues (only one complaint so far).
