I just recently updated to Adobe Photoshop CC 2019, and my healing brush tools and clone stamp tool lags when I use it.  I had no prior issues with CC 2018.  What gives?

I changed settings in Wacom, Logitech and Windows.  We will have to see what happens next
Thanks again for your help.

Possibly. Double-Click speed set too fast?

Thanks for the quick response.  Yes I am using a tablet but it does the same thing when i hold the Alt key on the keyboard.  And the pop up Brush box is infuriating.  If I put my pen nib down on the tablet I get a white circle then a pop up list. I'm wondering if my mouse setting in windows have something to do with it.

What you describe sounds like Photoshop thinks another modifier key is down (so it's showing the brush size hud). Are you using a tablet? Sounds like the shortcuts pref is whack in there.

Mine isn't lag but a big red dot where I Alt to select. Then nothing happens except when I move my cursor.  Then the red dot gets bigger or smaller depending on where I move my cursor. And when it actually does make a selection I get a pop up brush box that is right in the middle of where I need to work.  This is costing me precious time.  My clone stamp tool used to work beautifully.

@129856, regarding the visibility of the tool, try hitting the caps lock key

I'm also having a problem. When I use clone stamp, healing brush or brush tool, I can't see the tool. When I press  mouse key to use any of this tool, the circle dissapears. It is very hard to work like that. What would solve this problem? Anyone knows?

I'm also now having this problem... PLUS when I try to click a clone a single spot and then move my mouse to the next spot and click, it clones an entire line between the first and second. I'm not holding the shift key down which does that as expected. It's as if Photoslop isn't recognizing that there's no keys pressed. HELP!

I'm hiding rulers, disabled technology previews, touchbar, normal drawing mode, enabled legacy compositing...even ran this terminal

defaults write -g PhotoshopForceLegacyPaintMode -bool Yes
