P: histogram in levels adjustment layer not shown properly

In the latest photoshop build 25.7 (windows 10), the adjustment layers histogram is not shown accurately.  It's showing the whites clipped here, and they are not.  The adjust->levels histogram I beleive is correct.  both are shown here on the exact same image.

Do you mean the settings in Levels or the position of the panel?

  • For the settings:
If you changed the Levels as an Adjustment Layer, open your Layers panel and delete (or hide) the Levels Adjustment Layer. Show your Layers panel if you need help with this.
  • For the position of the panel
Start with Window > Workspace > Reset [current] Workspace. Then rearrange panels as desired.
    Details here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/workspace-basics.html

I hadn’t noticed that as I generally use the modal dialogs to edit Adjustment Layers but I can reproduce the issue.

Maybe you should post a Bug Report.

Do you know where to do that?  This forum is all I found when I searched.

This Forum is the place, but mark the thread as »Bug« instead of »Discussion«.

I'm seeing the same issue. Using PS v25.7 on Macbook Pro M1 running OSX 13.6.6. Highlights look completely clipped on Levels adjustment layer preview. Really throwing off editing.

I tried opening the same image in PS 2023 (24.7.3) and levels histogram displays accurately.

Wondering if there's a hidden setting somewhere?!?

Oh, phfpt. Appears that if the adjustment layers palette is too narrow, it will just crop off the right side of the histogram screen. Not ideal. I have to make that column of palettes wider to see the entire histogram.

Stumbled upon this because regular Histogram pallette was also showing clipped when it is set to 'Compact View', but shows entire histogram when set to 'Expanded View' or 'All Channels View'.

Thanks for sharing... I rolled back to the previous version and am using that.  I couldn't deal with it in my workflow and didn't think about the window not being wide enough.  I will try it when I update again. Thanks!
