P: "Import from Device" only permits one scan per launch of application on MacOS

Photoshop CC will only scan once through "Import Image from Device" feature. The second time I try to scan, the window is nearly blank and provides no preview, almost no user options, and no way to proceed. To make another scan, I have to quit Photoshop and re-launch. Photoshop CS6 doesn't have this problem. (But I can't have Photoshop CS6 running without Photoshop CC also launching.)

Fixed in Photoshop CC 2014.2.2.

I have recently discovered this "Import Images from Device" option, and got it to work once; since then any adjustment of the "Scan to" location or "Name" renders the panel unusable (greyed out). Reseating the USB cable refreshes the "Overview" but I cannot progress any further!!!

I am running Mac OS X 10.10 with Photoshop CC 2014.2.1 with a Canon PIXMA MP980 (which works fine with Canon's MP Navigator EX 2.0.7 scanner software, but limited to scanning one item on the scan bed at a time).

I'm having same problem with OSX 10.9.4. But if I go into "Import Images from Device" window and hide the scanner (Hover over Devices on the left hand side and there is an option to hide them) then show them again it seems to reset something in the software and I can scan again. Not a perfect solution, but better than having to restart Photoshop every time.

Same here, OSX 10.9.4, Ps CC 14.2.1, Canon MP270.

Can confirm this still exists despite numerous updates (Mavericks latest version) to Photoshop...

I use Image Capture now to scan. Rather similar to the Photoshop CS6/CC scanner interfaces, but without the ability to automatically bring the scan into a new layer in the topmost Photoshop document.
My reply to Chris Cox didn't make it into this discussion thread, but I'm on OS 10.8.5. Photoshop 14.1.2. My regular scanner is the Epson V600. Printer: Epson R3000.
There is also Mustek scanner software installed on my computer, because I occasionally use a Mustek 2400 large format scanner. (Not attached via USB when I'm not using it.) I wonder if others with this Photoshop CC scanning problem might also have some unusual scanner drivers present on their systems.

I just started using PS CC and also have this problem. I'm on Mac OS X 10.7.5. I have a Canon MP990 printer/scanner. As with the original poster, my PS CS 6 scans without problems.

I have PS CC 14.1.2 x64.

Which OS version are you using?
Which scanner make and model?

Have you installed the Photoshop CC 14.1.1 update?
