Dont really sure, is it only my problem or common one, but...
In previous versions of PS i can stop Image Processor process with Esc button, it was very helpful. Nowadays i have to close PS via windows process explorer...
I think you shoud return back Esc stop button

Very strange. I'm running CC 2019 (20.0.1) on Mojave 10.14.2 and esc kills Image Processor right away.

I am using the newest version of Photoshop CC 2019 on a Mac and I also cannot abort the Image Processor using the esc key or any other way.

Hi, I am seeing something similar, to varying degrees. On newer systems (i7 with ssd for example) I have to continuously press escape and it will eventually halt processing, though it usually gets though a fair chunk of the input files before canceling. On a slower system, pressing escape will cancel the process much sooner. I suspect this is in part due to image processor performing much faster in CC 2015.5/CC 2017. I'm seeing 2 to 3 times faster processing in CC 2015.5/CC 2017 than in CC 2014. Still, you should be able to cancel out much sooner.  I'll pass this on to the engineers to see if we can improve this.

Thanks for the report!
