P: Lagging scrolling (hand Tool) with Navigator panel showing v24, v23 and v22

Hello,

when using old Photoshop v20 and v19 (Windows 10), everything is smooth and fast. I can grab the canvas with my hand tool and scroll it very fluently.

But with Photoshop v22, v23 and v24, scrolling with hand tool becomes very lagging. Especially when Navigator window is open. It worked with v20, but not with v22. (I could not test v21).

Does somebody else experienced that lagging scrolling with v22, v23 and v24?

This is still very much an issue, even with a beefy machine and a 1024x1024 image things become very choppy whenever the navigator window has to update itself.
Disable the navigator window and everything is fine.
I'm wondering if it's limiting the framerate to 60, which is very noticable on a higher hz monitor.

I also have the same Problem on my Surface Pro 8 (16GB Ram), which is from 2022! It is not old.

When scrolling the canvas with hand tool, it is really laggy. Especially when the Navigor window is open.

With Photoshop v19 and v20, everything was smooth.

But with PhotoShop v22, v23 and v24, is is TOTAL laggy. I could not test Photoshop v21.

I have all 4 versions installed.
v19 and v20 => Fast and fluent scrolling
v22, v23 and v24 => Laggy scrolling

My system:
GeForce 760
16 GB
Intel i7-4770K.

I know, my machine is not the fastest anymore, but with PhotoShop v20 it is still working perfectly.

This is issue is since PhotoShop 2020. That is why I am still using PhotoShop 2019 😞
Since PS 2020...I dont except that this will ever be patched 😞

Would love to see an update on this as well, slowdown is massive when using a larger Navigator window even on top-of-the-line computer. I have to close it or make it tiny to make the PS run smoother again
