P: Lagging while zooming and painting with Native Canvas Rulers enabled - PS (v23.2.0) Windows

HI,

Bit of a strange one and I've only noticed this since recent updates. When I have an image (regardless of resolution etc) open and the PS window is active/in-focus, I can zoom in and out with the mouse wheel smoothly as long as the image is fully visible in the PS window canvas. But if I zoom in closer so parts of the image fall outside of the canvas, then zooming is laggy, like as if there's a CPU spike laggy but there actually is not any CPU spike.

If I click out of the PS window so PS is no longer in-focus, and then hover the mouse over the PS window and then zoom (WIndows by default will allow scrolling or zooming on whatever window app window the mouse is hovered over) then the exact same zooming actions are smooth.

I have recorded a video showing what i mean to help give a better visual of what I'm on about: https://youtu.be/3Xv7E-JPnZg

My mouse is a Logitech MX Master 3 and it is running the latest software, this issue has only been noticed since recent PS updates though so I don't think it is mouse related. Zooming using CTRL & -/+ on the keyboard does not exhibit this issue however, but the zooming steps are much larger using the keyboard shortcut.

I am on Windows 11 (up to date) and have the nVidia Studio driver v511.65.

Cheers!

I'm curretnly on version 23.2.0 and I''m having this issue. Windows 11, custom Puget system with dual Nvidia 3090s all updated as of today. The only thing that seems to work is to turn off rulers.

After updating to Photoshop 23.2.0 (Windows 10), I'm experiencing substantial mouse lag when activating the color picker via the ALT-key. It happens with both the mouse and the pen. It sometimes takes a while until Photoshop reacts to the input of the ALT key, and at other times, the mouse cursor motion stutters while having ALT pressed. Does anybody else exerience this?

I just realized the same thing happens when using the marquee tool and pressing ALT. So it's not a tool-specific problem, but a key-specific one.

I'm working on Windows 10 winth a Wacom Cintiq 16. Wacom drivers are up to date and the tablet is calibrated.
I updated Photoshop to version 23.2 just today and started having this problem: every time the pen goes up (not touching the screen) the program lags. I can make lines in real-time after a while as long as the pen is still touching the screen, but that's not useful.
I'm attaching a video. Something I noticed when I saw the video is that the brush is behind, as if the program was frozen, that's not how it looks on my Cintiq. I can see the brush right underneath my pen not drawing, and the lines catching up later.
After more tests, I noticed it's happening with other tools like lasso selection, Pen, shapes. so I believe it's a general problem.
I reinstalled photoshop 23.1.1  and now it is working fine, so I'm sure it's the latest version. I'll stay tuned if anyone knows how to fix the issue, in the meanwhile I'll be using the previous PS version.
