P: Layer "disappearing" when dragged at certain zoom levels

I have been experiencing a bug where if the document is zoomed smaller then 64% (yes I have tested this), and I drag a layer WITH an active layer style, the layer disappears.

Toggeling the visability, nudging the layer with the arrow keys or toggeling any layer style will result in the layer returning to visibility.

Again it only happens when the document is zoomed <64%, and the layer has a layer style aplied.

Hey, @Mariusz5D34. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. You've commented on a pretty old thread. Please feel free to start a new conversation in the Photoshop Discussions and include a short video of the behavior with the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach in your new post.

To add to all this I'm having the same issue. I tried all the things and nothing works. Also don't give us the, "update to latest version" excuse; this has been happening for years and has never been solved as of V26.0. This to me clearly seems like a photoshop bug, not an issue with photoshop users checking or unchecking a box. Anyone here, I assume, is more than happy to help Adobe fix this bug by answering questions or giving specifcs.

So summarize the issue:
1. This issue only exists when inside an artboard
2. As long as I'm moving 1 single layer this doesn't happen, but when 2 layers are linked or selected it happens.

Note: This is not a fix, but a helpful note. The layers will reappear as soon as you nudge the layers with the arrow keys.

Attached is a video here's the breakdown:
0-5 seconds: There is no issue when working in a non-artboard canvas.
5-30 seconds: The clipping issue once in an artboard and 2 layers are selected.
30-37 seconds: Showing how there is no issue when moving layers individually.
37-43 seconds: Repeating the issue when both layers are re-selected again.
43-30 seconds: The clipping issue once in an artboard and 2 layers are selected.
43-44 seconds: right at this moment the clipped part of the ball re-appears due to me tapping the arrow keys.

Here in Nov 2024. I am having the same issue. Turning off Graphics Processor is not a practical solution for me and it affects the overall performance of the computer and particularly with using my Cintiq.
Updating the version of Photoshop evidently isn't the answer either, if the problem is persisting across years of Photoshop updates.

Would really appreciate a real solution to this!

Haa! Hahaha! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Sorry.. I might go a bit crazy.
So... 2 years after, the same problem still occurs despite any updates both the Photoshop and the graphic card drivers.
I'm so glad to pay crazy amout of money for using software without fixes for literally years for the bugs that breaks your work and couses huge time loses.
Seriously I'm starting thinking about invoicing Adobe for all the time I spend on re-ding my work due to the bugs, crashes and issuses solving

I have an updated version of Photoshop, Ive tried everything listed below and when I try to resize the picture which has a 2nd layer, and when doing so the picture completly disapears. Now I am very new to photoshop so I am probably doing everything wrong but I am following a video to the T that someone made for me and even that person is not sure why I am having this issue. Ive tried to zoom in zoom out, make sure im fully updated and it will not let me resize the image (layer 1) without it disapearing. Anyone have any tips or help?

I unchecked EnableFlick Panning. That did not solve the problem. Its definitly only happens when I have a layer styple applied to layer like a drop shadow. Once I add drop shadow I cant move it. However a small workaround Ive been using is to apply dropshadow then I convert to smart object so the drop shadow is embedded. Then I am able to move the layer around wthout it disappearing. Its definintely a glitch that may only effect a small group of people so Adobe will probably never fix it. Its been over a year and two version upgrades and still I cant add layer style and move layers. I probably will have to deal with it as long as I have this iMac. My newer Macbook doesnt have this issue.

If Im understanding correctly, I had the same issue for the longest time. And apparently you need to uncheck "Enable Flick Panning". I dont recall having the issue since, and it's been a couple weeks. Hope it works!

I tried deactivating the Native canvas and that didnt work. However I just noticed it only happens when I move a layer with drop shadow applied.
