P: MacBook Pro Apple M2 Max Laggy Liquify

MacBook Pro Apple M2 Max 96GB RAM - Photoshop 24.2
I recently changed to this new computer and photoshop is super laggy in tools like liquify and other filters, the brush lags a lot!
Even the zoom is slow.
Even my 2015 MacBook is faster at these tasks.

I don't know what is going on but something can't be right...

If you disable "use graphics processor" setting you can use liquify with no lag. But this way you "can't use" brush pressure, destiny and other settings. :(:(:(  need update asap!!

How to turn off GPU acceleration?

We aren't paying for workarounds, we are paying for fixes and new features.

After the past few days of conversing with Adobe via Twitter (yes, they still use Twitter), I found out that the issue lies completely within the GPU acceleration part of Adobe products AND because our new computers are so fast, just turn off GPU acceleration and it will work perfectly.  After doing so, the Liquify filter works flawlessly.  Yes, I know, we shouldn't have to do this but it's not a serious issue at this time for those of us on Max or Ultra chips, not sure about regular M1 or M2 chips.  But in any case, give it a shot and see what happens.  Adobe did say they are working on a fix but who knows how long that will be.

I'd like to remind everyone complaining about this problem, that Adobe wanted your money every month with the promise of being able to update quickly whenever there is a problem. We paid and they haven't fixed the problem and it's been entirely way too long. Make sure you voice that to Adobe. This is absurd.

I, too, am seeing the exact same issue.  I believe the main issue is that Adobe still doesn't have full support for Apple Silicon chips yet.  If you remember when Apple changed from the G3 chip (Motorola chip) to Intel, it took almost three years to get it sort of right.  We had the same issues then.  Adobe is very well know for not supporting new technologies this the reason so many competitors have come up.
