P: Make the brush cursor easier to see (too thin, not enough contrast with some colors)

In last updates I'm having problem seeing brush (paint and healing) cursor when working with colors similar to cursor grey (grey or brown midtones for expamle).

Sometimes cursor changes to white, but for very short time and very randomly.

So it's really hard to see where I'm just gonna paint or heal. It is really annoying and tiring.

Got the same issue - hard to see when making edits. Also seems clicking on things doesn't often take in the first try - have to double/triple click on things to make sure layers and masks get properly selected before I start working on them.

I've recently switched to HiDPI monitor and having the same issue. Possibly made worse by using MacOS scaled display mode. Perhaps having the option of making the brush cursor circle 2 or 3x thicker would be a fix to this?

This is driving me crazy.  I do not have the caps lock on nor is the brush size too large, yet I am constantly loosing sight of the cursor.  I have to wiggle it around the screen to re-find it.  It is way too thin.  Isn't there a way I can mke it thicker so I can see it?  It would be nice if the cursor was set in Difference mode so the color would be visible on a colored-paint area.  I have  searched and searched for an answer to this and cannot fine it.  I am using Photoshop CC 2020.  I did not have this problem until I updated to Creative Cloud.  I have an iMac, Catalina OS.  It is so hard to get my work done with this cursor and I am tired of having my face next to the computer screen.  I have a 27" screen so size of the screen is not the problem.  Does anyone have a solution?

Also, being new to this forum (I joined in 2010, but barely used it until now), how do I post a solution to a person's problem?  I didn't see anywhere to reply.

Thank you in advance if you can help me.

Thank you very much.  Guess it is just an Adobe and a Mac Catalina thing.  I will have to wait for Adobe to catch with all the Mac OS changes.  At least I will not be spending so much time trying to search for the fix.  I appreciate you taking the time to respond to my "problem".

Retouching is almost impossible now, this is ridiculous. Until now I've been amazed at the quality of Adobe programs, they've been top tier regarding user experience. Now I'm regretting subscribing to Photoshop CC. Anyone have suggestions for other image editing programs that can do frequency separation and curve dodge and burn layers? Maybe it's time to move on to a different program. 😞

Just FYI Jeffrey... The 2019 version works fine on high density monitors, so not necessarily a problem with high density monitors but whatever you guys changed from 2019 to 2020... 🙂

Good, it's been invisible for months.  I have to command and cursor to see where it is, ALL THE TIME.

It's on our radar. Many of the on canvas controls are being refactored to make them more visible/friendly on high density monitors.
