P: Median Crashing Photoshop

The bug is still active - and engineering is working on the issue. We will update this thread when there is a fix.

I've updated to the latest PSD and it is still happening. 

Are there any updates? It doesn't happen on all PSDs but it's happening on most of them.

@ClaudiaR99 / @CShubert - are there any updates with this? I updated my PSD and it still is crashing.

Hey @ClaudiaR99 this happened just now on a file of the following:

4100 x 6150px @ 72DPI

sRGB IEC61966-2.1 (8BPC)

Doc: 72.1M/4.29G

253 Layers, 51 Groups

I can send you a copy of the file if you give me an email, it's happening on MULTIPLE files of mine. I have an action that Gaussian Blurs and then copy-merge paste and then medians. But I've used just the median file and that's where it happens, the Gaussian Blur has never been an issue on it's own.

Hello @WScottForbes , I'd like to reproduce this issue and it would be very helpful to know what size of a file you were working with, a general description of the layers, what were the steps before the crash happened.

If it's possible to get a copy of the file that would be great. Thanks!

Thank you @CShubert  I will say that sometimes it is successful but then 10-20 seconds later it crashes. Only because of Median too (I have an action that I use to post process all my illustration work for clients).

@CShubert Yes I did that the first time and it still happened. 

Thanks for the update @WScottForbes to make sure, did you try the manual process of resetting preferences?

Does it work correctly? 

If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.
