I've just downloaded the new photoshop update (22.01) and I noticed there is no classic red area when you change Brush size and feathering (when using keyboard shortcut OPTION+CONTROL).

it is quite frustrating

More than a month and still no news from Adobe!!! Are you looking for a new communication time?

Thank you Jon. I did and it's working.
But with some casualties... like my work space and a couple of plugins...

I rolled back to 22.0.0 and the overlay is back for the Paintbrush.  Just click on the three dots next to Photoshop in Creative Cloud Desktop.  Choose "other versions" and click on 22.0.0.  You'll get a prompt now that a "New Version" is available for Photoshop once you do that, obviously.  But at least the overlay is back and working correctly.

I am operating Big Sur and just updated to PS 22.1, hoped this would solved this issue, but still no fix. Really missing the brush preview. Very confused why these PS updates have messed with some of the most basic app functions.

same problem here working on brand new imac pro....now going on three months with out preview , its make efficiency and quickness in adjustment slower..... shocked that it has not been rectified...works in Liquify though....it makes one very worried to do updates if there is constantly new bugs as well as problem with plug in.......
