P: Opening more than one JPEG crashes 2023

Running macOS 12.4 on a 2022 Mac Studio, Lightroom 12.0.1 and Photoshop 24.0

Sometimes it'll work once, then fail on the next try. Since there's no way to tell Lightroom to use the previous version of Photoshop for this task, my options are deleting 2024 or coming up with my own script. I don't use this function every day, but several times a month and dozens of times a day when I do. Stacking the images into new PSDs manually would slow my workflow to a glacial pace.

I've encountered a bug in PS 2023 where the program will not open multiple files at one time, for example if you try to open a folder of 2, 5 or 10 jpgs PS will open, then crash after the first one is done. Expected result is program to open all images to work on.

This happens no matter the file type or number of images above 1. This makes productivity using PS 2023 difficult if trying to open more than one image into the program at the same time.

For the meantime I have had to revert to PS 2022 for work.

I am on MacOS Monterey 12.4,

3.8 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i7

128 GB 2667 MHz DDR4

Hi, is it the case when you select to open several files from Bridge?

Do you have ACR set to open the jpegs?

Could please post the contents of Photoshop's Help>System Info... menu, so that we get to have more info about your setup, the date of the GPU driver, the plugins you have etc.
