P: Pen tool lags

In Photoshop CC the pen tool lags about half second from when it is initially clicked. This makes it very hard to work fast using paths. It literally takes half a second for an anchor point to appear after clicking.

Well Chris, that's fine. I can check my system again, but this "slow down" as you call it isn't all there is. Remember those that are having the pen tool issues also can't preset path operations with the - and = keys. Are you saying our systems are causing this as well?

As I'm sure you've read, the pen tool lag issue suddenly goes away at random times, then starts up again. So yes, there's still a chance it's system related, but don't you think one of use by now would have found a common culprit?

Try to reproduce pen lag useing PS on any vmware machine with win7.

You might be better off checking your system to see why it is slowing down on your system and not for millions of other users.

Ok, fair enough. Thanks again for responding. I suppose I'll be forced to reinstall CS6 until the issue is resolved. This glitch is just too frustrating.

Because we've tried, and still can't reproduce the problem.

Ok, thanks for your reply.

My only response, and it's a very obvious one, would be- Why not find a colleague, friend, customer, whoever it may be, who is experiencing the pen tool lag and address the issue with his/her computer?

After many attempts, we still cannot reproduce any such slowdown. So there is not much we can do.

At this point I'm just hoping someone from Adobe is addressing the issue at all...

So, Chris, is this something that is being addressed and fixed soon?

Windows 8 does not solve the problem. I work on win7/win8 now on win 8.1,
I'm using at the moment and AMD (Phenom II) as well as Intel (Xeon) processors NVIDIA graphics Card and AMD GPUs, and still come across this problem. It is far better on my HP Z620, but still not perfect - especially after 2-3 hours with PS/Illustrator when only solution is close all projects and reload adobe programs because i can't see what i'm doing because of this lag.

Yeah, the number of cores has nothing to do with this - unless there is a previously undetected OS or CPU bug.
