P: Photoshop 23.3 has encountered an error and needs to close - Intel card/drivers

All of a sudden, I am getting the following error when opening a new or old file:

"Sorry, Photoshop has encountered an error and needs to close"

The program is up to date and other Adobe products are working fine.

I have WINDOWS 10 as wel.

Any thoughts or suggestions on how to fix would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks - I did as suggested: Preferences > Performance... click Advanced Settings... and uncheck "GPU Compositing" and when closing Photoshop, received the same error, that Photoshop needed to close. When I went to re-open the program, just to see if GPU was unchecked, nope, it was still checked. The crash did not allow the preference to save.  FYI, I have Windows 10 (up to date) and have a NVIDIA GeFroce MX250 Graphics card. HP says all drivers are up to date. Photoshop is current as well. Thanks for assistance - any other options to try?

One thing to try:

Go to Preferences > Performance... click Advanced Settings... and uncheck "GPU Compositing" - then restart Photoshop. Does the problem still occur?

Thanks for the crash report. There is a bug logged for engineering.
