P: Photoshop 23.x Keeps Crashing on Mac M1 when pasting text

I bought a new M1 Mac a few months ago and have updated all of my adobe programs to the latest software (i.e; Photoshop is on 23.2.2). I've been having lots of issues with the application crashing and losing all of my work. The latest issue that caused it to crash is copying and pasting text into a text box.

Is anyone else having similar issues, and were you able to resolve it? Thanks.

@J453 Yes, would you like me to provide that email?

@KegunMorkin Are you using a different email address than the one you use to log in here when you submit your crash logs? Nothing comes up when I search with the hotmail account you're using here.

Hey Jeff, I am on 23.2.2 and I submit each crash report to Adobe. I'm still experiencing these issues.

@KegunMorkin I'm not seeing any submitted crash reports from you in our system. If you haven't done so already, please submit all Crash Reports along with your email address: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/submit-crash-reports.html That will help us diagnose the crash.

@natecarrico The issue you described was fixed in recent updates. Make sure you're up to date with 23.2.2.

MacBook Pro 2017, Big Sur 11.6.3, PhotoShop 23.2.0. I have repeated crashing also. Happens when I adjust opacity on a layer or adjust with Curves. Once there was a "recovered" file but on sucssive crashes no file was recovered.

This is a new issue for me today.

Try resetting your Photoshop preferences. Press and hold Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) immediately after launching Photoshop. You will be prompted to delete the current settings.

(Mac OS only) Open the Preferences folder in the Library folder*, and drag the Adobe Photoshop CS Settings folder to the Trash.

This action only affects the items found in the preferences dialog box. Numerous program settings are stored in the Adobe Photoshop Preferences file, including general display options, file-saving options, performance options, cursor options, transparency options, type options, and options for plug‑ins and scratch disks. Brushes (and lots of other setting) are not affected by the above instructions for deleting preferences. You may wish to make a screen capture of the settings in the Preferences dialog to reset them prior to deleting of this file.

*To manually delete Photoshop preferences:
Quit Photoshop.
Navigate to Photoshop's Preferences folder:
MacOS: Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings

Note:
The user Library folder is hidden by default on macOS. To access files in the hidden user Library folder, see How to access hidden user library files.

Drag the entire Adobe Photoshop [Version] Settings folder to the desktop or somewhere safe for a back-up of your settings.

If that doesn't work, try logging into another account (you may need to make one), still crashing?
Try starting up in Safe mode (hold down Shift Key when booting), still crashing?
You might want to try running a free utility like Onyx: still crashing?
