P: Photoshop 24.2 When trying to open or save box is blank

bro what i did was a complete reinstall.  Wipe everything clean and install again, not the most convenient fix but a no-brainer, and PS got to work and save like normal again.

Im Still have this issue on my macOS , how should I fix the problem without losing my files?

First of all most of us don't work for Adobe. We're just helping out, but I don't understand how you could've lost all your work by default in the preferences. Adobe automatically. saves your work every 10 minutes ....so you must have it somewhere.

Resetting settings is a stupid way of fixing a bug.  Adobe needs to fix this.  I don't have the time to redo all my menues and settings because they can't fix a bug.

that worked.

This issue seems to stem from a conflict with saving location: cloud vs computer

The fix I had to use the last time was this:

Photoshop>Settings>File Handling>Default File Location  change this to ON YOUR COMPUTER

THEN:

MacOS Preferences>Security and Privacy>Full Disk Access

I hope this helps. This was very frustrating for me in a school setting when it was happening on 25 lab computers.

Every time I try to save, I get a blank box with no options. PS is up-to-date. I have reset the preferences and yes, I have restarted the Mac. Im at a loss and and so are the files I just created. 😞
