P: Photoshop creates a gude log while working with files

Toaday's January 20th update still has not fixed this issue.

Sigh.

I'm on the latest as of this post (Photoshop 24.1.1) and Photoshop is creating Gude log files everywhere when I open a file by double-clicking it.  This is really annoying.

Bear in mind that there are millions of users who don't use lightroom or bridge because it's regarded as bloat. This is basic 101 windows we're talking about here - we should be able to - as we have for the last 20 years - double click a file and have it open photoshop without littering our machines with gude logs. It would be different if they were cleaned up on exit but they're not. This is a bug - it needs to be fixed.

I feel like the topic is overrated and starts to be redundant. 

I don't feel its a big issue ... and anyways not existant when PS is running or when opening from Bridge or Lightroom.

Looks like it's time to revert to 24.0.1 and move this conversation to a more public forum like Adobe's Twitter account. Maybe they will pay attention there. 

Confirmed - still present in the 24.1.1 update.

Tried that - no newer updat available ... still 24.1.0

Updates might not send out / be available to all at the same time ??

@D Fosse You might want to retry the update (close CC desktop then re-open and recheck for updates) that should trigger the availaibility of the update to 24.1.1

Unfortunately, Adobe have not yet updated their fixed issues page to show what should have been fixed in 24.1.1

I received this update notice today:

I installed it, and the gude log files are still being created, given the previously mentioned conditions.  I reverted back to PS 24.0.1

Me too.

24.1.1 - No difference. Still get the unwanted gude log.
