Bonjour,

Quand j'utilise l'Outil Correcteur Localisé en cliquant avec ma souris sur une zone de la photo à l’écran, une multitude de lignes partent dans tous les sens. Donc cet outil ne fonctionne plus depuis plusieurs jours. Est-ce un bug ?

I was having the same issues with multiple tools in Photoshop. Finally after a day of trying all things, we have found a solution on Reddit. I tried it and it fixed it right up. This is for PC only.

Create a text document with Notepad. Name it “PSUserConfig.txt”
Write “UseSystemStylus 0” in the text body (that’s a zero not an “O”)
Save it in “C:\Users\*YOUR USER NAME*\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2026\Adobe Photoshop 2026 Settings

(In step 3, *YOUR USER NAME* is unique to whatever your username is.)

Restart photoshop and the tools should work again.

Credit to u/Professional_Use442 on Reddit for sharing this fix. Note: If you want to use the stylus again you’ll have to follow their instructions on how to re--enable the stylus mode.

Do you have a drawing tablet? I haven’t seen this in a while but it was happening on Windows 10 maybe 4-5 years ago for me. I suspect it was a memory-related problem.

I’ve been experiencing this weird brush tool issue where a single click causes random drawing behavior that sometimes is a simple wild stroke to a series of random scribbling that will fill the entire screen (video attached—those are single brush clicks causing the weird random drawing). This has been happening for the last 3 versions of Photoshop, and strangely enough, it seems to go away randomly, enough so that I’ve not been able to grab a video capture of the issue until just now. I’ve reset the brush tool as well as all tools to no avail. Anyone have a magic button for this? I’ll even take the longform mechanical fix if it exists. 🤢

You can try to check your graphic device driver and in necessary update to the recent version. If you’ve installed a Nvidia card make sure that you install the recent Studio Version of the driver. Don’t use the Game Ready version.

Try also to reset the Photoshop preferences. somtetimes it may help.

If this doesn’t help, provide a copy of your 'System Info'. This can be get from the Photoshop menu item Help > System Info. There's a copy button in the System Info dialog. Press this button and paste the info into your next forum post.

I have the same problem with selection tools and some other tools. They live their own lives when I use them. I reset them all but didn’t get help. I have lot of works and I really need help.

That erratic scribble with the Remove Tool happens sometimes when tablet or mouse pressure sensitivity glitches out, even on regular mice.

Try resetting preferences first (back up actions/brushes), then switch the graphics processor to Basic or Off in Preferences > Performance if it's on Advanced.

If that doesn't calm it, disable Use Graphics Processor entirely and test. Worked for a similar wild line issue on my setup last update. What does your System Info show for GPU?

Can you please confirm which version of Photoshop you actually have open? Your system info shows 22.2 and not 27.x. You may have multiple versions installed and launched 22.2.

No idea why it says 22.2, its 1000 percent 27.3 that is open. I have 22.2 concurrently installed because of some old plugins that photoshop broke after 22.

Version 22.2 is the one the system info is from, so that’s the one you had open.

If your file associations are broken, 22.2 may open files by default.

Go to your Windows start menu and open version 27.3 from there.
