P: Photoshop v27.4.0 Image > calculation > Source Dropdown list does not show other copies

Using Image calculations in Photoshop 27.4.0 does not allow me to select second open identical image except for the colour space as a source, one is set to RGB the other (a copy) is set to CMYK in version 27.3.1 this works I've reset my preferences , restarted photoshop and disabled graphics card option still does not work…

      Try unchecking the  "Enable Modern User Interface” checkbox in Settings/Preferences - Technology Previews.

      In Adobe Photoshop version 27.4.0, The Calculation dialog box (Image > Calculation ...) does not show all of the opened files.

      • I have an RGB mode file and 2 Multichannel mode files open.
      • All of the files have the same pixel dimensions.
      • The Multichannel mode files are used for selections. 

      When I select the RGB image, the Calculation dialog box does not list the multichannel images. When I select one of the Multichannel images, the Calculation dialog box lists only the Multichannel images, and not the RGB image.

      I never had this problem in the past. This may be a bug.

      The crazy thing is I have created several Actions that use Multichannel images to create selections, and they work. I use the Actions in Batch processing, but, when I try to do the Action manually, I can’t select the Multichannel images.

      Does anybody have a workaround or can you replicate the bug?

      Hey, ​@Philrob57. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll help you figure this out. Based on the limited description, I’ve been unable to recreate this.

       

      Please share a video of the issue and the system info from Photoshop Help > System Info. Copy and paste it into a text document, then upload and attach it here. 

       

      As a workaround, you can go to Edit > Preferences > Technology Previews > Uncheck ‘Modern User Interface’ and restart Photoshop.

      Thanks for the quick response 

      Turning off “Modern User Interface” has solved the issue of not being able to “see” both the RGB and CMYK versions of the same image in the Source dropdown, the result with “Modern user Interface” switch off is shown below if this is on I can only see the active document as shown in original post, the system info as requested is also included although I don't think a video would help much...

      Are you trying to use one RGB image and one CMYK image as input for Calculations? Then it should be fairly obvious that the channels, numbers and blend modes have absolutely no relevance to each other.
