P: Pressing +/- to change path drawing mode does not work with Pen Tool

In previous versions of Photoshop you could press the + or - keys to change the path mode for the shape you're about to draw to "combine" or "subtract". This still works with the standard shape tools (rectangle, ellipse, etc), but not with the Pen Tool. Pressing the keys either does nothing or changes the currently selected shape to combine/subtract.

This was actually working for me in CC 2014: with a path selected, I could change the operation with the - = keys, but the indicator in the tool bar would not reflect the change.

In 2015, the toolbar icon changes, but the path operation does not. You can change the operation for the NEXT path component you create, but not the one currently selected.

Is this how it used to be? I can't even remember.

Confirmed that we fixed one thing, and broke another. +/- with Shape and Pen tools selected works fine in CC 2015, but no longer works with the Path/Direct Select (White/black arrows) selected. We are investigating a fix for this issue now. Thanks for your help in clarifying this issue!

I'm not able to reproduce this. Maybe I'm not understanding the problem. Could you make a screen cap of what you're seeing when it works, and what you're seeing when it doesn't? That may help us troubleshoot.

Wait... Am I dreaming or can you now no longer change the path mode of existing shapes with the +/- keys with the Path Selection Tool?

Can confirm. Thanks!

This should be fixed in the Photoshop CC (2015) update.

Thanks Jeffrey. I'm running 14.2.2 and still experience the exact same issue though.
