P: Program error when saving, lag when zooming, changes not reflecting in document window (macOS)

Since the 22.1 update, MAJOR bugs:

- ‘could not save because of a program error’ when saving, work around: hiding a few layers or folders.

- major lag when zooming in

- actions and changes delay in showing, to the point where they never show up - once I close the document and quit Photoshop and go back in the changes are  visible.

what’s going on??

Use,

File -> Edit in ImageReady

I saved my file for being a huge lost. Because I completed my whole artwork and received a kind of error saying "Could not save because of a program error". I tried all possible options. But wont work. Then I tried Edit in ImageReady, Then I could save my file as psd though Image Ready. I hope this should work for you guys too :).

Thanks

I'm having the same issue with the Photoshop CC 2014 on a Mac.

When I open my Photoshop files or just a regular image JPG and I do a couple of edits and I cant save over the exiting files...

Any ideas??

And this is the window I get!

It's a known issue with Generator. Will be fixed in an update very shortly.

that fixed it! what does the generator do and why is it that it works when you disable it?

Hi Ivan, are you on Mac or windows? If you choose Preferences>Plug-ins and uncheck "Enable Generator" and restart PS do you have trouble saving the file using the same steps?

I have Photoshop CC and when I individualy merge a layer with the original locked layer Photoshop will no longer save the file due to a program error
