Hi guys, first of all i am a french webdesigner so be kind with my english ^^
i am on a PC windows 10 the version is 1909 and all the update are done.
My version of photoshop is the lastest 21.2.1.

Here is my prblm :

.psd files do not remember where was the last export
For example : i am working with 2 .psd : the "A" and the "B". I use to export the "A" works in the "A" folder and the "B" works in the "B" folder. But after the "A" exportation every others exports goes to the "A" folder. So i am constantly searching the right folder for each export. it s soooooo anoying and i am losing so much time. Do you have an issue ?

PS : i was like, f*** it i will run the odlest version i could so here i am with this cutie 20.0.9 aaaaaaaand the prblm is solved ! So from this point i will design 2019 stuff it will be so fun. But this is not an issue right ? ^^

Hey. On the computer, through the search, you can find any file, if you remember under what name you saved it.

Yeah, that's not how my workflow would go either. PSDs are in their own folder and the exports go somewhere else. I feel your frustration here and I can't believe they changed this without allowing a toggle somewhere for the previous behavior.
Personally, I think the entirety of Export/Save tools all need a complete overhaul.

hi guys ,

it s been a week since a ask them a gesture for this prblm due to their choice of priority.
Because it s not normal to pay for a service which is voluntary not delivery... and you know what ?
i have no answer ^^ their CM are gone ! Vanished !

Do you have any idea of what i could do ?

So, it appears that if you want this to work, you first have to save the File to the folder you want, then Export As? Ugh. >> well, i guess ^^ each .psd file must be in their export folder. Messy process.
I'll give you the same advice I give everyone, don't use Export As >> How do you do with several artboard in you .psd? When each artbord got their specific export file...

Here is the last answer i receive from @adobecare on twitter :

"Hi there, we discussed with the product team and the behavior you are experiencing is expected due to some changes that were made recently. The changes were based on a large number of customer requests hence can not be reverted. We're sorry about the trouble. Thanks! ^NM"

What I did is uninstall and reinstall without saving any preference which is better. But unfortunately the prblm still there 😕😕

Have you cleared your preferences before? Could you try below and see if you can see any changes?
Preferences panel > General > "Reset Preferences On Quit" and relaunch PS?
