P: Quick Mask bug or odd behaviour in new photoshop CC ( 2018)

Photoshop CC 2018

I am in the second VIEW Mode ( full screen mode with menu bar.)
The image to work on is not zoomed, meaning in fits in the screen frame.
I move the image to any side so it is only partially visible on the screen.
I press quick mask (Q) and the image immediately jumps right in the middle of the frame again.
This is a new behavior and very annoying.
This does not happen in full screen mode without any menu bar .

It is only happening in this resolution, when the image is zoomed in ( fills the whole screen) it does not happen !
And... it's only happening in the second view mode.
I don't use Application Frame !!

Howdy Andi,

Thanks for the video.  It really helps.  Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce this on my Mac, though I have a much smaller monitor.  I'm running 19.0.1.

On a lark, could you try different resolutions and see if the bug is happening?  I'll follow up with a couple of colleagues here...

Thanks,
David

Howdy Andi,

Okay, I don't quite understand something here.  In Full Screen mode with the Menu Bar visible and a 100% zoom of an image that doesn't display fully on-screen, when I press Q for Quick Mask, my view isn't changing at all.  I even opened the Navigator panel to check, but I'm not moving.

Can you tell me more about your setup?  What OS are you using?  Monitor(s)?  Are you using PS 19 or 19.0.1?  Are you sure that your video drivers are up-to-date?

Thanks,
David
