P: Re-Allow a smaller minimal vertical size for panels

PECourtejoie I can not comment on why Adobe does many things. I do not work for Adobe.  I like many are disappointed when Adobe does some things.  Even with all the faults in Photoshop it is still a very useful tool with may good features its more then  and image editor. No competitors has a single application as board as Photoshop.     Sill I wish Adobe would fix the bugs that have been reported and ignored by Adobe for years.

Now Adobe is phasing out OpenGL and OpenCL and releasing more bugs then ever before.

All user have choices as to how they can configure a Photoshop workspace and use Photoshop style palette within a workspace. You want to configure it in a way the is not possible.  You only rent Photoshop if does not suit you it seems it does not float your boat. Stop renting Photoshop and find some other application the does or develop the editor you desire. In your mind it is a bug and other may agree with you.  I believe many will agree with me it is not a bug its the way Adobe designed it to be. You can also submit an idea to Adobe to change Photoshop Style palette design.  I do not think  Adobe would think it would be worthwhile to do.  Use this ideas  link. 

@JJMack how can we then explain the fact that the channels panel can be resized to show less than 3 channels, including the composite?

You've got it. Users must follow Adobe choices, not their own choices.
If Adobe think the UI MUST contain useless asset (in my case, I bet I'm not the ony one…), well user don't have the choice.

It is clear that you have removed Adobe Photoshop style palette default content and you do not like that the minimum size the Style palette can be sized is not smaller then the size required for Adobe default content. I your mind this is a Bug.    Photoshop is Adobe Product they made the Palette minimum size be the size required for their default content. That you discarded.  The minimum size the style palette can be is Adobe to design choice not your choices.  In you mind Adobe default minimum  size is a bug for you trashed Adobe content so there is some empty area. Where the is no empty area with Adobe defaults.

I really do not understand why this  is a problem for you.  The Palettes you have issues  with  do not need to be displayed when you are not using them.  You display them when you need to use them. Add when you them you want them to be a size that us unable  not sized so small that you can not select anything. Adobe added search fields, history usages, groups and  change the size of thumbnails.  All the changes require using more space for the palettes. In my  workspaces the palette you have issues  with are  normally closed or collapsed or in tabs that share display area with other Palettes.  Why doe you want to be able toe size as palette so small the its noy useable?

Je travaille aussi avec 1 ou plusieurs écrans simultanément, sous windows et sous MacOS. Avec un espace de travail adapté pour chaque situation. C'est bien pour cela que je regrette que la taille minimale de certaines palettes soit devenue trop grande.

Je n'ai pas besoin d'afficher beaucoup de styles ni de couleurs, motifs etc car je n'utilise qu'une petite quantité de ces éléments, mais j'en ai besoin très souvent. Les avoir à disposition en permanence (sans cliquer sur une icône de plus à chaque fois) est plus productif mais je perd de la place avec de l'espace inutilisé. Biensur je pourrai scripter ou ajouter des raccourcis claviers pour appliquer tel ou tel style mais ce n'est pas la question…
