P: Remove tool progress bar always on on newest update of photoshop 25.11.0

Since updating to the newest version of Photoshop, the progress bar for the remove tool appears after each stroke, which is very annoying, unnecessary, and extremely distracting!  There is no way to stop or interact with this dialog box.

I agree, this is a very annoying change and I have no idea why they added this, when the clone and heal tool don't even have this dialog box pop up.  I use the remove tool more than I use both clone/heal now, and for the dialog box to show up every time I click even a speck of pixels is very distracting.  So much so that I'm switched and am currently using the 2023 version of Photoshop (V24) which doesn't have this annoying dialog box pop-up for the remove tool.

Hi there, we're sorry for the trouble you experienced with Photoshop. I'll need more details to help you.

Try this step and see if it works:

  • Go to Preferences > Image Processing > Choose "More Stable" for Remove Tool Processing.

RESTART Photoshop (Photoshop > Quit Photoshop, then relaunch).

  • You might need to restart once or twice after applying the settings.

Please share the system info of Photoshop from Help > System info > Copy & paste into a text document > Upload as an attachment here.

Regards,

Shivani
