P: Restarts when trying to use Object Selection Tool with hyper threading enabled

Has there been any update about this issue?   Problem is still present with latest Photoshop,  Win10 20h2,  i9-7940x w/latest microcode.   Nothing makes a difference except disabling hyperthreading.

Already tried all the perfomance modes. Instant restart 100% of the time.

Razvan Matei: Can you also try disabling the the GPU by doing the following:
Edit->Preferences->Performance, uncheck use Graphics Processor and try again and report if you can still reproduce? Thanks.
