P: Saving copy not saving over jpg file

Adobe are so hopeless. IT IS NOT FIXED!!!!!!!

yes, it is exactly the same behaviour. I'm on Mac OS Big Sur. Some says that this is problem related to Mac operating system, but it isn't. Other apps don't do it. Even other apps within Adobe CC don't do it. Even Photoshop don't do it if you use Quick Export function (set up in Preferences, Export tab - you can change the filetype to JPEG). As I wrote elsewhere, Adobe is erratically patching their bugs, bringing the new ones along with each update. They should take their time, fix all bugs, carefully do beta testing and bring update two times a year max. Their behaviour results in situation, when proffesionals are scared of every single update.

@Sendy Fiala I haven't updated yet. Will do so later. Is the save behavior the same as previously reported? If so, I wonder what Adobe thinks it fixed.

With version 22.3. (March 2021) Adobe says it is fixed:

But it is not!

Such a shame...

It’s going to be hilarious when Adobe has to explain to investors that they’re losing subscribers over this asinine and pathetic defect.

This has been driving me insane. I've moved to Figma for most stuff now, people actually putting some effort into their software.

Please Adobe team, more than one year now with this annoying bug, would you mind to fix it in a near future please?

Affinity has a serious attitude problem when you point out their UI-design defects. Again, is it worse than Adobe's? I don't know.

Their gradient UI is pretty pathetic, and their apps also suffer from a lot of current-selection-related defects. You can often get into a state where NO layer is selected, but most actions are still available. They just... do nothing, and you're left wondering why.

On other occasions, you'll have something selected but inappropriate tools are enabled.

In the end you can get stuff done and there are some good ideas there, but only recently have some essential features like arrowheads on lines been added. And we're still waiting for others, like being able to mark objects as non-printing in Designer.

I wonder if using the other "A Word" enough might get a response?

My holdback with Affinity, is the Brush palette display options.
You can only view as a stroke instead of just Tip view.
And sadly they only have been able to offer a "Is what it Is" response.
