So, no resolution on this stupid annoying problem?? So, Adobe...if something's not BROKEN, don't FIX it. 🙂

Exactly. same issue on the save as jpg with copy instead of replacing. Other than that after update to Catalina PS 2020, my jpg, psd, tiff files are unreasonably HUGE. Cant solved the problem and uninstall PS2020 and use back 2019 (files size becomes normal). Anyone has the same problem here? Been using mac for the past 20 yrs and its getting worse after each update.  sigh.....

INSANE that they just released that update without a fix to this. I just updated as well and... YEP. still happening.

This problem is not limited to saving a JPEG file — happens when saving as TIFF and PNG, also.

Yea! got a response back from Adobe support!

This is in regards with the issue on duplication of the files while saving the file in JPG format. This is an ongoing issue with Mac and is expected to be fixed in upcoming updates. Please stay tuned for future updates.

i have this issue and not an admin on my work computer, is this getting fixed? it's so frustrating when you are updating images that are linked to a premier pro file for example.
