P: Slice Tool very laggy

Photoshop CC 2020, Slice Tool very lag when use it. anyone have same issue or know what problem?

    I'm also experiencing the lag, when using the Slice Tool. My PC is from the days of yore, e.g. first generation Intel Core i5 750 from 2009! The interesting thing is that when GPU is set to OFF, things seems normal.

    The steps to reproduce are simple:

    1. Open a document and select the Slice Tool.
    2. Cut (or slice/divide) into a diptych or triptych.
    3. Add a Guide, say at midpoint.
    4. Press "V" and drag that newly created guide and you'll see the immense lag.

    Repeat the above with GPU set to OFF, restart PS 2020.

    Things should be smooth and normal as expected.

    I'm guessing something is wonky with the GPU and Slice Tool.

    I am seeing the same - I know its not to do with my computers hardware as I can reproduce it on 2 windows 10 PCs (1 i7 with 32GB RAM, 1 i5 with 16GB - both have SSDs) and a new MacBook Pro running Catalina I have access to.

    Slow down even on a new document with a few slices is noticeable - the more slices the more it lags.

    Same problem, the soft is unusable with slices shown, even when using another tool. When the slices are hidden, the soft is smooth again. Problem with a document with 10 slices.

    I'm using this to slice up a pdf for an EDM, so the file is quite large, anywhere from 2mb - 7mb. It definitely slows down as I add more slices but it's noticeable from the first slice

    OK. And are you seeing it slow down as you add more and more slices? How many slices are in your documents? I'm seeing some lag after adding 50+
