P: SuperZoom adds a white background to transparent images when used in an Action
Photoshop 2023
Mac Silicon running Ventura 13.2.1
Issue: When using the SuperZoom Neural Filter in an Action, it ads a white background to images that were originally transparent. When using SuperZoom manually (not within an Action), it does not add a white background (the correct, expected behavior).
I've attemted to get help for this issue twice today, via live chat. The first time the agent said they were pulling out my account, and then they disconnected. The second time, the agent, Brian, had me share my screen, we worked through a few ways to try and diagnose the problem:
1. Run the Action on a .psd file to demonstrate the problem to Brian - this file had a few layers, the only visible layer has transparency (it output a new layer with a white background, when there was no white background before)
2. Run the Action on a different .psd file to ensure it wasn't an issue with the file itself - this file also had a few layers, the only visible layer has transparency (it output a new layer with a white background, when there was no white background before)
3. Brian "reset" Photoshop, which appeared to be hime copying the Actions from one folder to another on my machine
4. Re-record the Action using SuperZoom (when recording, it outputs with transparency, like it should)
5. Run the re-recorded Action on a .psd file (it output a new layer with a white background, when there was no white background before)
6. Run the re-recorded action on a .png with transparency, to see if created a backgroudn that wasn't there in .png's, or just .psd's (it added a white background to the .png)
Then Brian told me that SuperZoom "creates" a white background. Which isn't correct, as it doesn't do this when used manually. And if that was the expected, normal behavior, we wouldn't have spent 2 hours trying to fix it. Then Brian disconnected the chat.
I am assuming this is a bug as an agent spent 2 hours remote operating my computer and couldn't fix it.
