P: Text on path by clicking with the text tool on an existing path does not work.

It seems that when I do this, regardless of the text settings, all I get is a tiny blob of ink at the path node where I tried to initiate the text on the path.

This was fixed a while back. It should work correctly in the current version of Photoshop.

Howdy Stephen,

Okay, gotcha.  I figured out what's going on and have logged a bug.  It appears to only happen if you click on a path node, but it should be fixed.

Thanks,
David

This is on Windows 8.1 x64

With some further playing around with it, I see what I'm running into. If I use the tool too near a path node, it enters text entry mode but completely doesn't work; if I click further away in the middle of a path segment it works as expected.

Howdy Stephen,

Can you tell me more about the problem that you're having?  I cannot seem to reproduce it on either Windows or Mac.  Are you trying to add text to a path that already has text associated with it?  What OS are you running?  Have you checked your text settings -- maybe reset them to be sure?

Thanks,
David
