P: To change layer name to copied text, right-click paste function doesn't work (macOS)

I've recently been forced in to using a macbook at work. Don't worry, this isn't going to turn in to a rant about how much I dislike macs, and why they are so much more faffy than PCs... however, there's one tiny little thing in Photoshop that has really been bugging me in the mac version...

When you go to change a layer name, if you happen to have copied text from elsewhere that you want to paste in as the name, if you right click and then try to paste it doesn't work!!! It's SO frustrating!

You HAVE to use cmd V to paste it in, which is all good and fine when your left hand is in that area, but a lot of the time (for me) it's not, either because of my sitting position or because I'm being lazy (which is my choice!) either way, not being able to paste by right clicking is really annoying.

Any chance this simple thing can be fixed?

Hmm, that's something i've never tried before and it definitely should work, but right-clicking when the text is active, de-activates it.

The real question for me is, how can you use Ps with only one hand?
